RIT College of Engineering Technology

As RIT CET’s Student Designer, I designed internal and external materials across print and digital platforms for the CET Dean’s Office and CET departments to promote events and appeal to prospective students, creating engaging flyers, brochures, postcards, etc. I did so while adhering to RIT’s brand guidelines and taking art direction from administrators to unify and update CET’s materials. Some of my goals included ensuring strong type alignment and graphic yet legible use of supporting brand elements. After promotion to Senior Student Designer, I worked with a second student designer and took lead on larger, on-going projects, such as social media campaigns, template suites, and one-pagers.

PRINT DESIGN

DEGREE PROGRAM ONE PAGERS

An important annual project was the degree program one-pagers for prospective students. My role involved assisting in photo selection for each program, designing a layout that would work consistently for all programs in conjunction with a fellow student designer, creating unique visual interest while adhering to brand, and formatting PDFs for print.

SOCIAL MEDIA

GRADUATE PROGRAMS SOCIAL MEDIA CAMPAIGN

Another larger project I got to work on was a paid advertising campaign for the college. Taking art direction from the CET Assistant Director of Marketing and Communications, I assisted in photo selection/editing and designed a minimalist layout involving the campaign tagline and a legible solution for displaying the RIT CET logo that fit each image across square, horizontal, and vertical social media formats. The campaign saw an increased number of clicks compared to a previous campaign.
